Barcelona and United face off in the Champions League this evening in a hotly-anticipated quarter-final second leg clash.
The La Liga giants hold a 1-0 advantage going into the showdown thanks to the deflected header Luis Suarez scored last week.
But they will be taking nothing for granted with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer having a whole host of top talent at his disposal.
The likes of Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial will all be desperate to knock Barcelona out of the Champions League.
However, it seems one of their team-mates will be paid the closest attention to, even if it’s not just because of his attacking prowess.
The Daily Mirror claim Rashford has emerged as Barcelona’s No 1 transfer target ahead of the upcoming summer window.
Barcelona are said to be willing to hand over a whopping £100m to prise the forward away from Manchester United.
And they might offload Nou Camp flop Coutinho in order to ensure they have the cash available to launch an assault for Rashford.
Philippe Coutinho has been linked with United of late having failed to make his mark following a club-record move to Barcelona last January.
United, though, would rather have Rashford on their books – with Solskjaer seeing the 21-year-old as a key part of his plans.
United will knock back any offers that come their way for the likes of Rashford and Pogba at the end of the season.
But they are currently struggling to convince Rashford to sign an extension to his contract, which expires in 2020 and has an option for another 12 months.
Talks over keeping Marcus Rashford at Old Trafford for the long-term future have rumbled on for a number of months.
And United are prepared to pay him him up to £300,000 a week in order to ensure he sticks with them going forward.
However, there has been no breakthrough in negotiations with the transfer window approaching fast.
The impasse with Rashford has come as Real Madrid have also positioned themselves to potentially make a bid for the England international.
