Tottenham and Man Utd transfer plans strike ‘FEAR’ into Juventus as duo chase same target | Football | Sport

Ndombele is one of the hottest prospects in France with a host of Champions League regulars believed to be eyeing him up.

Express Sport understands Tottenham, United and newly-crowned treble winners Manchester City are eager to get him on board.

Juventus have also been credited with interest in Ndombele, who has been capped four times at senior level by France.

However, it seems Tottenham and United sniffing around the 22-year-old has left the Serie A champions taken aback.

Bleacher Report transfer guru Dean Jones has now claimed Juventus are concerned Tottenham or Manchester United will beat them to Ndombele.

“Juventus were hoping for a clear run at Tanguy Ndombele but now fear United and Tottenham are going to throw big money at him,” Jones wrote on Twitter.

“Both teams should probably do exactly that!”

Tottenham have kept their powder dry for the past two transfer windows with Lucas Moura their last senior signing in January 2018.

Daniel Levy could release the purse strings this summer as Spurs look to build on yet another hugely promising campaign.

The north Londoners will face Liverpool in the Champions League final on May 1 having overcome Ajax in the semi-finals.

And they will be competing in Europe’s elite club competition again next season with a fourth-place finish wrapped up in the Premier League.

Tottenham might therefore have an advantage over United, who ended the 2018/19 campaign sixth and will only play in the Europa League in 2019/20.

Tottenham are, however, looking like they will have to go toe-to-toe with Juventus in the fight for Mauricio Pochettino.

Express Sport understands Juventus have made Pochettino their No 1 target to replace the departing Massimiliano Allegri.

It will take a huge offer to tempt Tottenham into letting go of the highly-rated Argentine, who was courted by United and Real earlier this year.

Tottenham have, though, lined up Allegri as their ideal replacement should Pochettino head for the exit door.
