Pep Guardiola’s City welcomed Watford to the Etihad as they looked to close the gap at the top of the table on Liverpool.
The Reds face Chelsea on Sunday and City knew a win over Watford would reduce the gap to two before Jurgen Klopp takes his side to Stamford Bridge.
The clash between City and Watford is first up on Match of the Day on Saturday night.
It will be followed by Tottenham’s trip to Leicester with many tipping the Foxes to break into the top six this season.
It was a test that Tottenham would surely need to pass if they want to battle for the title.
Sheffield United headed to Goodison Park to take on Everton and that will be the third match on MOTD.
Norwich were hoping to back up their win over Manchester City last weekend as they visited Burnley.

Saturday evening saw Brighton make the long trip to Newcastle and it’s the penultimate game to be shown.
But the wooden spoon goes to Friday night’s south coast derby as Southampton welcomed Bournemouth.
