Man Utd transfer news: Who will be the second signing after Daniel James deal? | Football | Sport

James signed for United from Swansea in a deal that could total £18million.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to have a busy summer as he looks to overhaul his squad.

And, with plenty of other clubs making moves, it surely won’t be long before the Norwegian dips into the market again.

Express Sport looks at who could be the next arrival at Manchester United.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Solskjaer has been linked with the Crystal Palace star as he looks to strengthen his defence.

United have reportedly already had an initial bid of £40m turned down for the 21-year-old.

But they’re unlikely to stop there and another offer could be on its way.

United have lost Antonio Valencia at right-back and Wan-Bissaka could follow James.

Bruno Fernandes

Express Sport revealed last month that United have made enquiries regarding Fernandes.

The highly-rated midfielder scored 31 goals for Sporting Lisbon this season.

Tottenham and Liverpool are also keen with Solskjaer’s interest coming amid speculation that Paul Pogba could leave United.

But Fernandes has said he will only leave Lisbon should they give him their blessing.

Matthijs de Ligt

One of the most talked about centre-backs in world football is wanted by a number of clubs.

United, Barcelona and Liverpool are all believed to be in for the Dutchman.

De Ligt is expected to leave Ajax though is not sure where he will end up.

“I still do not know what my heart says, I have been concentrated all the time in Ajax and in the national team,” he told Mundo Deportivo.

“Now in my vacations I will be able to think about it and decide what I am going to do with my future.”
