Manchester City will be without a number of key players for their FA Cup quarter-final against Swansea at the Liberty Stadium.
Pep Guardiola will have hoped to rotate his squad after a hectic run of fixtures but is now expected to field a strong starting XI with five first-team players sidelined.
Benjamin Mendy and Fernandinho were already ruled out but the City boss has now revealed a further three stars will not feature.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Guardiola said: “We will have to make changes.
“[John] Stones on bench, not ready to play. He is still recovering.
“Vinny [Kompany] and Kevin [De Bruyne] not fit. We don’t have too many options.
“Tomorrow is a quarter final, that is the most important thing by far, to reach the semis.”
De Bruyne has not played since picking up a hamstring injury against Bournemouth a fortnight ago while Stones picked up a groin problem in the same match.
Meanwhile, Kompany has suffered yet another setback in his recovery from a muscle injury that ruled him out for seven weeks earlier in the season.
With so many stars out, several fringe players are likely to get the nod against the Swans with Fabian Delph potentially in line for his first start since January.
The England international could join David Silva and Ilkay Gundogan in midfield while Riyad Mahrez and Gabriel Jesus will both hope to earn rare starts.
Nicolas Otamendi will partner either Aymeric Laporte or Danilo in central defence while Oleksandr Zinchenko could retain his place at left-back.
