Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain contract

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain looks set to extend his stay with Liverpool, reports claim.

Oxlade-Chamberlain’s current £120,000 per-week deal expires in June 2022 and the Daily Mail claim he’ll sign a one-year contract extension at Anfield.

The 25-year-old missed the majority of Liverpool’s Champions League-winning campaign.

He did, however, make two Premier League appearances in the final three games of the season and was an unused substitute in the 2-0 victory over Tottenham in Madrid.

Nicolas Pepe not happening

Liverpool are not interested in Lille winger Nicolas Pepe.

That’s according to the Evening Standard, who claim Jurgen Klopp isn’t looking for a marquee signing this summer.

Speculation of a £60million Premier League move for the exciting winger has been rife in recent weeks with Manchester United also credited with interest.

However the Evening Standard claim Klopp wants to make smaller purchases to boost his squad depth, rather than a major addition.

Leaked fixtures…

Liverpool will kick off their 2019/20 Premier League season away to Burnley according to leaked fixtures that have been posted online.

Leaks happen almost every season and these are not confirmed games but if they turn out to be true then Liverpool will surely be happy to start with what looks like an extremely winnable fixture at Turf Moor.
