Liverpool made it a record-breaking 13 league wins in a row and ensured they sit top of the Premier League heading into the international break.
But despite the convincing victory, there was a sour ending to proceedings after Sadio Mane vented his frustration after being subbed.
He was not unhappy with Jurgen Klopp though. Minutes prior to being replaced, Mohamed Salah had a shot when Mane was standing in acres of space.
That left the Senegal international furious, as it wasn’t the first during the match that Salah had opted to shoot.
As he walked off the field, he was shouting furiously, waving his thumb backwards towards the pitch hinting it was Salah he was angry with.
Mane then took his place on the bench and had to be calmed down by James Milner and Joe Gomez.
After a while, he did seem to come to his senses but as the full-time whistle sounded, the forward’s face suggested he was still not happy.
The camera did show the reaction of Jurgen Klopp, who appeared to laugh the incident off.
Trent Alexander-Arnold had the opening goal taken away from him by the Premier League panel after his cross went in after deflecting off Chris Wood.
Mane then got his goal after latching onto Roberto Firmino’s pass and guiding it into the corner.
The Brazilian got the goal he deserved in the second half, smashing the ball home from 20 yards.
Firmino was one of the players to console Mane after his angry outburst.
