The Senegalese international was Liverpool’s man of the moment in Germany, scoring twice to help the Reds reach the last eight.
His first goal at the Allianz Arena was a strike to savour, as he humiliated the onrushing Manuel Neuer in just three touches.
After controlling the ball as it dropped from the sky, he turned the goalkeeper before clipping the ball over two defenders and into the empty net.
Joel Matip turned into his own net to equalise for Bayern Munich before half-time.
But second half headers from Virgil van Dijk and Sadio Mane ensured there will be four Premier League representatives in the quarter-finals draw.
In the wake of the triumph, Liverpool fans couldn’t help but watch back one particular incident from the first-leg stalemate at Anfield three weeks ago.
Suspended for his side’s defeat, Joshua Kimmich screamed in the face of Mane after tackling him as the forward bared down on goal.
His reaction was rather aggressive and passionate, now footage of the incident has resurfaced after Mane had the last laugh.
The 26-year-old destroyed Kimmich’s stand-in replacement Rafinha to inspire Jurgen Klopp’s side to victory.
Mane did rather well not to react to Kimmich on what was a frustrating night on Merseyside.
“Mane’s smile vs Kimmich’s Shouting
This picture makes my day anytime I look at it,” one fan tweeted after the win in Bavaria.
Another added: “Joshua Kimmich did this to Sadio Mane in the first leg at Anfield.
“In the 2nd led Sadio Mane scored two goals and knocked out Kimmich’s team out of the Champions League.
“The world is fair.”
A third added: “Forgot about Kimmich yelling in Mane’s face in the first leg. Hope he enjoyed watching Mane destroy his arena from the stands.”
