Kate dazzled in a white off shoulder Barbara Casasola dress, pairing her look with silver embellished heels as she strutted in to the event venue. Despite London’s dreary weather, the Duchess was glowing from head to toe sporting a sophisticated blowout and soft glam make up look. Kate, 37, attended the first annual gala dinner in recognition of Addiction Awareness Week, hosted by Action on Addiction and chef Skye Gyngell.
The Duchess was seen chatting to staff who were employed to create the dinner menu for the evening soirée. Some of the cooks were clients from Action on Addiction, who were hired as apprentices to help Spring Restaurant’s head chef and owner Skye Gyngell prepare delicious meals for guests.
Kate spoke about the importance of helping family members who have been affected by addicition.
Speaking to guests, she said: “It is vital that we support everyone who cares for children in those formative years, especially if we want to help with the inter-generational cycle of addiction.”
Action on Addiction is a UK-based charity that aims to help those with drug and alcohol addictions through research, prevention, aftercare as well as family support.
Kate has been a patron of the charity since January 2012.
