That’s according to Atletico CEO Gil Marin, who has known Griezmann’s future since March.
The French forward announced he would leave the La Liga club this summer.
And, after a summer of speculation last year, it appears Barcelona have finally got their man.
“We’ve known since March where [Antoine] Griezmann will play,” Marin said. “At Barcelona.”
Griezmann announced he would be leaving Atletico Madrid this summer with Barca widely expected to sign him.
But reports soon emerged that Barca players weren’t keen on the Frenchman after he turned down a move last summer.
Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United were also believed to be keen on Griezmann.
Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo recently said on the situation: “Griezmann has been with us for five years and done a splendid job. We have a good relationship. Nice, trustworthy.
“I hope wherever he goes he will be treated the same as he has been with us.”
Griezmann had been coy on his next club though it appears Marin has blown his cover.
