Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has seen his Manchester United side recapture the spirit of the Sir Alex Ferguson days to boost their chances of silverware this season.

Tonight, they will go up against PSG in the last-16 of the Champions League, aiming to win a first knockout tie since 2014.

That was when David Moyes was Manchester United boss, with successors Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho both failing to make their mark in Europe during their own respective periods at Old Trafford.

Solskjaer is arguably more popular than all three of his predecessors, though, and fans will no doubt love singing his chant when United lock horns with PSG.

United fans have a song called ‘Ole’s at the Wheel’ that has been heard in every single match since the 45-year-old took charge.

To the tune of Waterfall by the Stone Roses, the song goes like this:

“Ole’s at the wheel,

“Tell me how does it feel,

“We’ve got Sánchez, Paul Pogba and Fred,

“Marcus Rashford, a Manc born and bred,

“Duh du, du du du du du

“Duh du, du du du du du

“The greatest of English football,

“We’ve won it all.”

Man Utd fans love Solskjaer… and so too do the players

“Duh du, du du du du du

“Duh du, du du du du du

“The greatest of English football,

“We’ve won it all.”

Man Utd fans love Solskjaer… and so too do the players

Manchester United fans love Solskjaer. He was brilliant as a player and, so far, he has exceeded expectations as a manager.

But it is not just the supporters enjoying the ride under the 45-year-old. Players are too – and Anthony Martial in particular.

Martial has lauded Solskjaer ahead of tonight’s game with PSG, saying: “Things are going really well at the moment.

“We’re really happy to have him here with us.

“I hope we can continue with him as our head coach, but ultimately the final decision isn’t down to us. But we’re pleased he’s with us at the moment.”
