The Red Devils legend also played for the French champions in his glittering career.
But it is clear Beckham is supporting Manchester United tonight after taking to his Instagram to post a snap alongside his former team-mate Solskjaer.
The Norwegian has impressed at Old Trafford since replacing Jose Mourinho, winning 10 of his 11 matches in charge.
And Beckham was seen smiling alongside Solskjaer.
He posted: “So good to be back in Manchester & so happy to see THE BOSS @manchesterunited.”
And the photo led to fans all responding with the same commentary line which was made famous when United won the Champions League back in 1999.
One posted: “Beckham…… Into Sheringham….. AND SOLSKJAER HAS WON IT!”
That was of course in reference to United beating Bayern Munich in injury time with Solskjaer netting the winner.
Solskjaer is confident his side can beat PSG tonight who are missing Neymar and Edinson Cavani through injury.
And he wants an exciting European night at Old Trafford.
“I look back to one of the last few exciting knockout games when we lost to Real Madrid when Nani was sent off,” he said.
“Of course we had Bayern Munich a few years ago as well, so we’re looking forward to this.
“It is both the supporters and the players who have been looking forward to some of these nights, because they are so special.”
Solskjaer referenced the incredible 7-1 win over Roma back in 2007 as a style of play he is looking to replicate.
He added: “Maybe my last one [as a player] was when we beat Roma 7-1.
“I played in that one, I came on. It was a typical Old Trafford night when we lost 2-1 away from home and the manager was so happy.
“He said, ‘we’ll be all right, we’ll win at home.’ He was so confident in our abilities, so I just want my players to go into this game confident and embrace the game.”
